from all the oil caked up on my engine, i think everything is leaking, i bought this car used with about 148K on it for 4200, when i got it home i jacked it up and started working. but as for sticking with the subject. looks like the everything is leaking, so since i got it out im gonna get the engine gasket kit from z1 (unless someone knows where to get one cheaper and good quality) and change out everything that comes in that kit. another thing before i jump on it is, 1. when i take it apart will it start to rust if i dont work on the car for a week? or is it ok to leave the parts laying on the table? 2. what i want to do is take off the heads and clean it with out taking out the cams (because im not to sure if i will damage anything or if there is something im suppoted to do) unless it is a easy job then ill do it. can i just spray it with degreaser and brush off as much as i can? 3. when i take off the heads i think its going to expose the pistons, will i have to deck the block because it was taken apart or can i just put a new gasket and close it back up? 4. can i use the oem studs or should i get the APR kit?
